Jordan Vogt Roberts and a Journey from Thoughts to Reality

One such role played is by director, who pictures the script in mind and prepares to show it on screen. Jordan Vogt-Roberts, an American director is an upcoming name behind several films and series.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts started a career in the entertainment industry by producing and directing the web series Memoirs of a Manchild and Book Club and directing most of the episodes for Single Dads as well. From one of these web series, Memoirs of a Manchild, he innovated an episode into a short film titled Mint in a Box. After this, he directed and wrote another short film Successful Alcoholics, in the year 2010. This film was screened in over 30 film festivals, including Sundance Film Festival, the AFI Fest, and the SXSW Festival.
His feature film, The Kings of Summer, had its screening at the Sundance Film Festival 2013. In the same year and for the same film, he won the Narrative Feature Audience Award presented at the Dallas International Film Festival. In the year 2014, he directed another film Nick Offerman: American Ham and in 2017, he directed Kong: Skull Island grossing more than $565 million globally.
He has also directed many TV Series, which includes 5 episodes of Funny or Die Presents in 2011, followed by 3 episodes of Death Valley. In 2012, he directed 8 episodes of the series Mash Up and he has directed 8 episodes of You’re the Worst in the years 2014 and 2019 as well, he has also directed Cocked in 2015. He has also worked on two commercials, Destiny 2 and Player Unknown’s Background. He is also working on a film based on the video game series, Metal Gear.
Vogt-Roberts was born on September 22, 1984, in the United States. After spending his childhood in the Greater Detroit area, at the age of 14, he moved to Arizona. However, he returned to Royal Oak, Michigan to complete his senior year with friends. Jordan completed his schooling in 2003 from Dondero High School after which he went to Columbia College Chicago.
